Tent Theatre invites actors to the non-equity open call for 2025 season!
Open call submissions will be accepted via video only through Submittable (LINK COMING SOON) with a deadline of Jan. 31, 2025.
Tent Theatre will attend UPTA auditions in Memphis in February. If you are attending UPTA, we will see you audition in person. You are also welcome to submit via video through Submittable (LINK COMING SOON).
Tent Theatre encourages performers of all ethnicities, gender identities, abilities and ages, to audition.
First day of rehearsal is May 29, 2025.
Performances run June 12-14 and 18-21.
Mandatory strike on June 22.
Character breakdowns
Seeking eight vocalists (sopranos, mezzo-belters, tenors, baritones) comfortable singing in a jazz style with a 17-piece big band. This concert event will feature jazz standards, musical theatre, and pop/rock.
Audition instructions
To be considered for "Serenade: Summer Nights of Swing & Song," prepare two cuts, each one-minute max, combined into one video. Choose one jazz standard ballad and one jazz uptempo. Each should feature your vocal range. Begin your video with a slate that includes your name and your pronouns. Complete the actor audition form on Submittable (LINK COMING SOON). You will submit links to video in the audition form.

Performances run June 26-28 and 30 - July 2.

Character breakdown
In "Vintage Hitchcock: A Live Radio Play," spies, murder, love, and other trademarks of Alfred Hitchcock come to life in the style of a 1940s radio broadcast. Seeking two women and three men to play a variety of roles in Hitchcock’s classic tales: "The Lodger," "Sabotage" and "The 39 Steps." Also seeking one foley artist.
Audition instructions
To be considered for "Vintage Hitchcock: A Live Radio Play," prepare a one-minute max monologue from any radio play in a mystery genre. Begin your video with a slate that includes your name and your pronouns. Complete the actor audition form on Submittable (LINK COMING SOON). You will submit link to video in the audition form.
Performances run July 9-12 and 16-19.
Mandatory strike on July 20.

To be considered for "Rodgers and Hammerstein’s A Grand Night for Singing," prepare a one-minute max cut of a classic musical theatre song (pre-1965) that features your vocal range. Deadline & Callbacks
The deadline to submit your audition materials is Friday, Jan. 31, 2025, at 5 p.m.
Callbacks, including dance, will be conducted via video throughout the months of February and March.
