Tent Theatre invites actors to the non-equity open call for 2024 season!

Open call submissions will be accepted via video only with a deadline of Feb. 2, 2024.

Tent Theatre encourages performers of all ethnicities, gender identities, abilities and ages, to audition.

Tent Theatre will attend UPTA auditions in Memphis in February. If you are attending UPTA, we will see you audition in person. You are also welcome to submit via video.

Instructions

1. Prepare your headshot and resume by combining them into one PDF document. Label the PDF file as follows: Firstname Lastname Resume
   
   
2. To be considered for:
   
   “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical”
   Prepare a one-minute cut of a contemporary musical theatre song or classic pop/rock song appropriate to the show. Please do not sing from the show. Begin your video with a slate that includes your name, your pronouns and where you are currently located. Label the video file Firstname Lastname Beautiful.
   
   "Crimes of the Heart"
   Prepare a one-minute monologue in the style of the show. Use of southern dialect is encouraged. Begin your video with a slate that includes your name, your pronouns and where you are currently located. Label the video file Firstname Lastname Crimes.
   
   "Mystic Pizza"
   Prepare a one-minute cut of an 80s pop/rock tune. Please do not sing any of the songs in the show. Begin your video with a slate that includes your name, your pronouns and where you are currently located. Label the video file Firstname Lastname Mystic.
   
   
3. When all materials are ready, email Heather Luellen (HeatherLuellen@MissouriState.edu), Associate Artistic Director, with the subject line Tent Audition Ready. Heather will send you a link to submit your materials.

Deadline & Callbacks

The deadline to submit your audition materials is Friday, Feb. 2 at 5 p.m.

Callbacks, including dance, will be conducted via video throughout the month of February.
