It’s early 1964, and American pop culture is on the cusp of a seismic shift from crew cuts to mop-tops, cardigans to Nehru jackets, and romantic crooning to the raucous beat of the British invasion.
For the Plaids, a traditional 1950s guy group, it’s now or never to land a breakthrough record deal. With their heavenly harmonies, the four friends are bound for glory – although not the kind they expect!
While en route to a big audition, the quartet’s car collides head-on with a bus full of Catholic schoolgirls on their way to the Beatles’ American debut on “The Ed Sullivan Show.”
Returning from the afterlife, the Plaids are granted one last chance to realize their dream of achieving musical immortality!
This upbeat, off-Broadway revue features such timeless pop classics as “Catch a Falling Star,” “Lady of Spain,” “Love is a Many-Splendored Thing,” “Moments to Remember,” “No, Not Much,” “Three Coins in the Fountain,” “Heart and Soul” and many more late ‘50s/early ‘60s chart-toppers.
Get set for a blast from the past that’s fun, fab and Forever Plaid!
