'Altar Boyz' for fans of boy bands, or not

Missouri State University's Tent Theatre opens its 47th annual season in fine style with "Altar Boyz," a show that's bound to please the religious faithful, the adoring fans of boy bands past and present (e.g., the Jonas Brothers), and those wary of both persuasions.
The sweet and clever spoof of religious pop music and heartthrob groups like 'N Sync and the Backstreet Boys presents the eponymous fictional quintet on the last leg of its barnstorming "Raise the Praise" tour. The harmonizing hunks (four Christian, one Jewish) are named Matthew, Mark, Luke, Juan and Abraham and they aim to entertain their loyal fans while saving any lost souls in the crowd.
